ADMISSIONS INTO M.E. (Mech. - CAD/CAM) & M.E. (Tool Design)

CITD in collaboration with the Osmania university ,Hyderabad conducts the full-time Post Graduate courses in Mechanical Engineering, under Industry-Institution joint programme leading to M.E. DEGREE.

1) Master of Engineering (M.E.) - Mech. - CAD/CAM

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engg. / Production Engg. / Mechanical Engg. with specialization in Mechatronics / equivalent with minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination from the Institutions approved by AICTE. The GATE rank holders also need to qualify themselves in the Entrance Test.

Course Fee : Rs.30,000/- per semester admitted under self-sponsored category and Rs.37,000/- per semester for Industry-sponsored category. In addition, the candidates have to pay one time Autonomous fee of Rs.6,000/- to University College of Engineering (Autonomous) at the time of admission.

2) Master of Engineering (M.E.) - Tool Design

Qualification : B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering/Production Engineering /equivalent with minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination from the Institutions approved by AICTE. The GATE rank holders also need to qualify themselves in the Entrance Test.
Course Fee : Rs.19,000/- per semester admitted under self-sponsored category and Rs.26,000/- per semester for Industry-sponsored category. In addition, the candidates have to pay one time Autonomous fee of Rs.6,000/- and Rs.2,100/- towards project work at the time of admission.

• DURATION : 24 months (4 semesters) for both the courses.
• AGE : No age limit. However, candidates below 45 years of age are preferred.
• EXPERIENCE : (For Sponsored candidates only) Min. 2 years of professional experience after passing qualifying examination
• ADMISSION : Admission is purely based on rank obtained in the Entrance test to be conducted by University College of Engineering, Osmania University. Entrance test is compulsory & common for all categories of candidates including sponsored, non-sponsored and SC/ST categories.
• DATE OF ENTRANCE TEST AND CENTRE : July Main Building, University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad-500 007.
• HOW TO APPLY : Prescribed application forms with full details can be obtained from the Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad-37, by sending a crossed demand draft for Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Principal Director, Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad-500 037 on any Nationalised Bank payable at Hyderabad.. The SC/ST candidates need to enclose a copy of the Caste Certificate attested by a Gezetted Officer. Envelope containing the request for application form and other details should be superscribed with “request for application for

M.E. (Mechanical CAD / CAM ) / M.E. ( TOOL DESIGN ) COURSE”. A self addressed envelope (size 26 cms X 13 cms) duly affixed with Rs.15/- postage stamp also should be sent. A crossed demand draft for Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST candidates alongwith caste certificate) drawn in favour of Principal Director, Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad-500 037 on any nationalized bank payable at Hyderabad, should be enclosed along with the downloaded application form.

Candidates seeking admission under Non-sponsored, Sponsored category have to indicate order of preference in the application form. However, the entrance test for all the categories will be common.
